Record Setting Game!
The Huskies travelled to Paris last night to take on the Wolf Pack. Many team records were shattered last night and this reporter frankly struggled to keep up! Apologies in advance if there are any errors in this report.
Unfortunately the first record to fall was the time it took for the other team to score. Paris rushed off the opening face off and opened the scoring six seconds in. Thankfully, Joey answered right back with a beautiful move to slide the puck just past the Paris netminder. According to his Dad Jonas scored the next goal as it banked off his leg on a shot from Simon. Players later confirmed that Jonas did indeed get the goal.

Paris took advantage of some line adjustments (Drew made a short debut at defence) and answered right back to tie the game at 2. Apparently Thomas still needs to see his optometrist or maybe the dark jerseys for both sides added to his confusion as he almost put one past Kai! Joey got the go ahead goal after a beautiful shift from the Huskies that saw several good scoring chances.
Drew opened the scoring after a beautiful feed from his former line mate Simon who was playing centre last night. Kai made several phenomenal glove saves to keep the Huskies ahead. With the Huskies a man down Tanor made a great aggressive play at his own blue line to steal the puck and carried it down the ice to net his first goal of the season. Number 10 for Paris skated around the Huskies like they were pylons and scored one minute into the third. Chazen answered right back with a fantastic solo effort the ended with the puck in the top of the Paris net to put the Huskies up 6-3. 10 for the Wolf Pack replied with a gorgeous top shelf backhander that ended up being the last Paris goal of the game. The Huskies, however, were far from finished.
Drew managed a Gordie Howe Hat Trick last night as he ended up in the penalty box with a Paris player after a tussle around the Husky net. Chazen and Tanor were putting on the Snyder brother show, each netting another goal. Jackson got his first of the season as well as Matt, who was playing forward at this point in the game. Simon put a beauty past the poor Paris goaltender who must have felt like he was at the wrong end of a shooting range at this point. This reporter apologizes if he missed any highlights from a well played game that saw the depth that this Huskies team has. Hopefully they can carry that through to this weekend as they see two tough opponents. The defence did a tremendous job in shutting down a strong Paris team. Well played boys!
