Huskies get first win in Erin The New Hamburg Huskies AE team travelled to Erin-Hillsburg on Saturday. Just a few minutes into the game Jack R. had a great goal assisted by Ethan F. and Jonathan D. They kept up the hard work throughout the rest of the first period but unfortunately no more goals were scored. Then Quinn k. had and great goal followed by another one assisted by Ethan B. What an exciting way to start our Season!  The Offence were working well together to keep the puck in the offensive end and get some shots on net, the Defence were working hard to keep the play out of our end, and the Goal tending was amazing!  Even when we were down 3-1 we kept trying our best and ended with a 3-3 tie.  We have a hardworking team and we are looking forward to a great Hockey Season! - by Quinn K.

On Saturday October 1st, New Hamburg traveled to Acton to play Halton Hills.  The Huskies held their own in the 1st period until 20 seconds left. Thunder scored their first goal at the end of first. In the second period, the puck dropped and Thunder took it down the ice in 30 seconds and scored. That's when The Huskies started to get mad, but so did Thunder and it was head-on collisions the rest of the game. A lot of penalties were missed but the Huskies never gave up!! Kaleb M. and Ethan F. were rushing the puck end to end for the entire game. 

It was a home game, Huskies vs. Erin-Hillsburgh. In the first minute of play the Devils scored putting the home team under pressure. Shortly after, Ashton M. passed the puck up to Sam W. who blasted a shot at the goalie's stomach resulting in a big rebound putting the puck right out front for Kaleb M. to put it in the net. In the second period the Devils scored putting them up by one. Shortly after Ethan F. scored to tie it at two. In the last period the Devils scored to put them ahead. The Huskies kept on fighting, but no luck - the Huskies take a hard loss, 3-2. - by Kaleb M.
