Midget AE, U18, 2017-2018 (New Hamburg Hockey Association)

           This past weekend the Midget AE Huskies participated in the Hespler Olympics Tournament. An opportunity to come together as a team and take home another championship.

           We had a beautiful summer weekend for our first Tournament of the year. It was the first time all the boys were playing a game together. The boys played a solid defensive style of hockey that netted them the Championship. Zero goals allowed in the five games was evidence to that. Great goal tending, defense played strong, the forwards back checked well, and a solid fore check made it difficult for our opponents to get much going. 78 minutes in penalties in 5 games, allowed for many opportunities to work on the penalty kill. They did a great job holding down the fort. ...

          Just want to thank everyone that participated in the Midget AE tryouts. Unfortunately I can't keep all the players and I had to make a couple real tough decisions. When appropriate, I will be contacting players through the standard channels to offer the opportunity to AP with the team. All the best with your teams this season. We'll see you at the rink.
