Cohen Christner Slushie Skater of the game - great effort extends winning streak to 3!
Cohen Christner was a defensive specialist on the blue line today in a 2-1 win over the LL2 team in Saturday morning action. Cohen demonstrated how to keep the puck in the opposition's end zone by being in position and taking the right angles to keep their forwards with nowhere to go with the puck. He was the 1st player into the corner in our end and battled hard to be sure we had possession. Awesome work Cohen!!!
Tye opened the scoring on a breakaway goal and has got his groove back. Kaden was stopped on an end to end rush inside the LL2 zone, but Cole was there to pounce on the puck and rifle a shot from the top of the circle that found the back of the net and get the winning goal with 4:41 left to play. Brody made a heartstopping breakaway stop to save the game with 6 seconds left....what a fantastic finish!
The team effort is really paying off and everyone is doing their jobs out there! This is a great way to go into the South Huron Dairy Queen Challenge Cup next weekend!!!!
