Huskies win 1st of Home and Home with Ayr
The fans were going crazy as Cole Doherty scored on a breakaway with 1:50 remaining in the game to give the Huskies a much deserved 1-0 win over the Ayr Flames Thursday night.

Kaden led the defensive troops earning the Slushie Skater on this night as he battled the 1 on 1's with the Flames huge forwards and hacked the puck away on numerous occasions.

Brody was sensational earning his 2nd shutout of the season and refused to let the puck get past him.  Awesome Slushie shutout Brody!!!!!

Brayden cancelled an early flight out of town and made the difference as he backchecked hard on every shift, thanks for coming Brayden - we needed you!!!!

Tye picked up his first minor penalty but came out of the box like a rocket and made sure the penalty kill unit had lots of help as they were a tired bunch.  Owen, Cohen, Stuart and Cooper stood tall in front of Brody and blocked some shots helping the shutout bid.  Riley was making some crafty moves with the puck in the offensive zone and made some great passes as Sam was finding open space on the ice and ready to slam in a goal  - keep working boys, the goals will go in!!!!

The second half of the home and home continues in the confines of the Ayr arena Sunday morning at 8am.  Get up early and eat your Wheaties boys.........
