Vs. Shamrocks
The New Hamburg Atom AE Huskies rang in the New Year with a 3-0 win on Thursday night over the Hespeler Shamrocks.
All three lines and both defensive pairs played solid two-way hockey. Colin McBride, Kyle Barr scored to give the Huskies a 2-0 cushion heading into the third period and Brendan Larocque clinched the match with an empty netter late in the game. Jordan Hopkins made some stellar saves to notch the shutout and backstop his team to its 13th league win of the year. The Huskies host Hespeler again on Saturday afternoon.
