Big Win At Home!
Submitted By John Donkers on Saturday, November 2, 2013
Congratulations to the boys who played a fantastic game in their home opener. The boys didn't let an early first goal from LL1 slow them down. Ethan Farhood answered back just two minutes later to tie the game. The team did an exceptional job of controlling the puck for the remainder of the period with great pressure in the offensive zone. They skated well as a team and had several more chances to score but were denied by the LL1 Goalie. The team continued to apply pressure in the second period, with Devon Strauss notching his first goal, and Simon Van Rooyen putting in the third.

The defensive unit were a key to the boys victory, holding the puck in the offensive zone and then putting up a wall in their own end. Goalie Owen Roth held the boys in the game during the third period, making several difficult stops. Congratulations to Owen who was nominated as this weeks Hustling Huskie! Way to go boys!
