The New Hamburg Minor Peewee A Huskies have started the Tri-County playo‎ffs with three straight road wins.   With back-to-back ga‎mes last weekend, the Huskies defeated the Oakville Rangers 5-4 on Saturday and then scored five more in a 5-1 victory over the Milton Steelhawks on Sunday.    Six days later the Huskies won their third straight by knocking off the Hespeler Shamrocks 2-1.   The Huskies host Hespeler on Tuesday night.  --- Cheers, Jeff

The New Hamburg Minor Peewee A Huskies concluded the regular season with a convincing win on the road against the Brampton 45s.   ‎Tyler Clement provided the shutout as the Huskies blanked Brampton 4-0. Hunter Mitchell doubled up on the score sheet with singles going to Joey Gibson (short-handed) and Cody Cowell.    Short a few players, the Huskies' defense kept prime scoring chances for Brampton to a minimum and served up some solid outlet passes for the forwards.    ‎The win gives the Huskies a 12-11-5 summary on the season as the team awaits bracketing for the playoffs.   --- Cheers, ...

The New Hamburg Huskies Minor Peewee A hockey team's best assist this year could in fact take place off the ice.  On Saturday, November 15, players, coaches and parents representing the Huskies Minor collected donations for the Wilmot Food Bank. With groups at the New Hamburg No Frills and Sobeys grocery stores from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Huskies collected more than 880 food items, some toys and cash donations in excess of $670.

The New Hamburg Minor Peewee A Huskies continued a strong stretch of play with a 6-3 win at home on Tuesday night against the Halton Hills Thunder.    ‎It was a solid offensive output for the Huskies, getting goals from six different players.

After tying three straight games the New Hamburg Minor Peewee A Huskies managed a 4-2 victory on the road in Milton on Sunday night.    Hunter Mitchell scored twice in a winning effort with Evan Green adding a power play marker.
