Great Team Effort
Wow,
As I sit here and watch Montreal and Toronto play hockey I think that today's game was more exciting to watch. The LL1 Pewee Huskies put on what might be their best performance of the season so far. The boys played a stellar game against what might have been their best opponent yet and absolutely dominated them, thanks to great teamwork and great goaltending!

The game opened with god pressure from a fast skating Wildcat team. There was great end to end action. The Wildcats caught a break on a long shot that bounced off of Brodie's shoulder and into the net. The period continued with great shots from both teams an awesome save by Brodie to keep it a 1 goal game. Jonas was able to bury a backhander to equalize the score with two minutes to go in the first. Owen and Aidan showed off their great passing to make the game 2-1. It was quite an exciting period to watch.
Aidan put in another beauty of a goal to open the second period on a feed from his brother. Then Thomas (a.k.a. Tie Domi), apparently thought the opposing boards needed some cleaning so he used a player from the other team to give them a wash, putting the wildcats on the power play. The Huskies showed their determination as they easily killed the penalty. The twins then struck, this time with Aidan assisting Owen on a beauty of a goal to make it 4-1. It was a phenomena; second period for the boys with good pressure and great back checking.
The Huskies kept up the pressure in the third. Drew was in place to bury a rebound from a great shot by Owen Burns to make it a 5-1 game. Throughout the third period the Huskies dominated the play, doing a great job cycling the puck in the offensive zone. Simon was able to capitalize on a rebound to make it a 6-1 game. At the end of the day the Huskies played a great two way game. The defense did a phenomenal job of protecting their house and both goalies had several great stops. The boys truly looked like a team on the ice, with great heads-up passing and good two way skating. Keep up the hard work Huskies.
