Novice LL1, U9, 2018-2019 (New Hamburg Hockey Association)

The New Hamburg Huskies Novice LL 1 became the Grand River Local League Champions Tuesday Night when they defeated Huskies LL2 by the score of 4-0.  The victory marked the end of the championship series versus Huskies LL2.  The first game of the championship series ended in a draw when LL2 fought back in the 3rd period to tie the game after a 3-goal deficit.  Game 2 was a balanced attack of offence, defence, and goaltending by LL1 which saw them win 3-0.  Players on LL1 played hard during the series-clinching game 3 and second consecutive shutout which included plenty of celebrating, cup ...

The New Hamburg Huskies LL#1 traveled to the Chatham area to compete in the Woodley-Hoskins Classic.  After opening the tournament with an 8-1 win over the West London Hawks, the Huskies were challanged by a strong Jets team from Ilderton.  After defeating the Jets 3-1 and taking in some local food and Rogers Hometown Hockey, the Huskies were challenged by the Jets again for the first playoff game of the tournament.  A hard fought game saw the Huskies win 3-2 for a birth in the championship game in Ridgetown.  The final game was a convincing 9-2 win over the Petrolia Oilers as the Huskies ...

The boys of Novice Team #1 wait in the corridor before their home game vs Beverly.  Team #1 is 8-0 to begin the season including an exhibition game in Mitchell vs the Meteors.  Sitting on top of the GRLL standings, the team will now bring their winning ways on the road when they travel to Hensall for a 2-game tournament with the support of Tri-Electric Solutions.
