(by team reporter Albert Ross) Even with a 5 win and 1 loss record in round-robin league play-offs, the Canadian Legion Major Peewee A Huskies were unable to best Burlington and being denied a league championship, took their game to St. Catherines for a final shot at some hardware before concluding the season. The Dogs were one of six teams competing in the Garden City Warriors Tournament held on March 15-17.

The Dogs were looking for another win to add to their play-down total and were determined to come out on top. The Storm had the same idea so the stage was set for a tough physical game.

They got off to a good start, pocketing a goal in the first minute of play to set the tone.

The visitors were desperate for a win that would force a 7th and deciding game while the Dogs wanted to end it and move on.

The Dogs were looking for a win to solidify their point-leader status in the opening round-robin action while the visitors were desperate for a win to stay alive.
