Another playoff win!
By Jeff Porchak: The New Hamburg Atom AE Huskies rolled into Hespeler on Monday night and rolled out with a 3-1 victory.
New Hamburg opened the scoring as Jesse Gerber notched the opening tally off a pass from Colin McBride. After Hespeler tied the score shortly into the second, Gerber returned the favour and set up McBride for the go-ahead goal. With the Huskies short-handed in the third, Cody West finished his own end-to-end rush by banging in his own rebound and provided the Huskies a two-goal cushion. Jordan Hopkins kept the score that way throughout a frantic final three minutes as Hespeler had its goalie pulled for the extra attacker but couldn't get any closer thanks to solid netminding. The Huskies continue playoff action against the Erin-Hillsburgh Devils on Thursday.
