Character Game in Second Outing
Atom Huskies LL1 Gamelog : Game 2.
Game Two brought the Woolwich Wildcats LL3 in for a visit and our boys were surely amped up to build on their opening day win. The Wildcats however had other ideas. The game got under way and the Wildcats seemed to take control and were not looking to give it up easily.

It was obvious from the puck drop that the Woolwich Wildcats were a well coached and disciplined team with three solid lines, stingy D and a Goalie that had the net on lockdown all game. Our own Goalie  Brody N, held firm but was solid as well not giving any gifts to the visitors but eventually they managed to pot a couple in the first period on their way to a 5-0 shutout.  The Wildcats were a tough matchup and although  our guys didn't manage a goal, we played well against a solid team and skated hard every shift. The entire coaching staff views this game positively because we did see improvement in several areas from last game. We are not a scoreboard-oriented team but looking for effort and team play from our boys and this game showed positive in both those areas. We have more work to do and will get back to it with enthusiasm on Friday morning.
Our "Huskie Hammer " recipient this week was a unanimous pick and no other names were brought up as late arrival Tyson Lobo continues to ramp up his game after limited ice prior to this week. Tyson ignored the scoreboard and seemed to be wherever the action was, taking chances away from Woolwich or taking charge in the neutral zone before any good rushes against us developed. Congrats to Tyson and keep up the gritty play!
