Who You Gonna Call? Slump Busters!
The LL1 Huskies sent a message to the rest of the league Saturday morning with an all out offensive barrage against Paris LL2. The boys decided this was would be their breakout game at home before we hit the road for an out of town stint.
Right from the puck drop, the boys were thinking all offense with the determination of a team held off the scoreboard for too long. The team's commitment to the systems we've been working hard on in practices is finally paying off with the best positional game so far. Also, the hunger to go after loose pucks kicked in in all the boys with many battles ending up with us possessing the disk. We littered the scoresheet all game long with a balanced attack while at the same time letting the Paris team know our defensive zone was closed for business. Everyone shared in this statement win with strong play at all positions. Cole led the scoring with the hat trick, Tyson with a pair and Kalan and Matthew adding singles. Lots of helpers too with Cole and Griffin kicking in pair each. Brody was perfect in net also, covering all angles and not giving any decent rebounds. Jesse really took charge in the defensive zone keeping pucks away from the middle of the rink and stopping a couple of quality rushes to claim the Huskies Hammer this week!
Great job by all players contributing to the win and breaking out of a bit of a slump of late. Best game this year for sure! Let's keep it up!
