The Atom LL2 Huskies hit the road on Saturday January 18th
for a matchup against the Plattsville Rage.
In their last meeting, the Huskies dictated the pace and managed a 10-0
shutout win. Saturday’s game was another show of hard work at both ends of the ice
as New Hamburg again put their goal-scoring prowess on display.

The first period got off to a healthy start as Huskies left winger Owen Burns got on the scoreboard with a nice wrist shot courtesy of an assist from linemate Tanner Synder.
Macarther Brennan then got in on the offence, converting a breakaway chance and going top-shelf on the Plattsville goaltender, assist from Mason Pereira.
In the second period, the Huskies picked up where they left off, with Snyder capitalizing on a rebound puck to light the lamp for his first goal of the game, assist coming from Burns.
With plenty of firepower left, the third period was a busy one as Snyder continued his hot streak with his second goal of the game, assisted by Alex Elkeer and Ben Alles.
Forward Mason Pereira continued his strong play by rifling one past the Rage’s goalie, assisted by Alles, to make it 5-0.
The offence rolled on as Quinn Klasnic continued to rack up points this season, roofing one glove-side past the Plattsville goalie, unassisted.
Burns struck again in the third, finding the back of the net on an assist from Snyder, for his second goal of the game.
With game winding down, Klasnic again found a way past the opposing netminder for his second goal of the period, unassisted.
With 19 seconds left, Snyder put the game on ice with his hat-trick goal, assist from Burns.
Boatloads of offence, excellent defence, and lights-out goaltending from Shaun Zwosta were essential to the 9-0 victory. Great job Huskies!
