Written by Tim Yantzi The Expressway Ford Minor Peewee Huskies brought home the Regional Silver Stick Championship last weekend in Own Sound. After a 1-1-1 record during round-robin play, the Huskies clinched the title with two hard-fought final games.

Written by Tim Yantzi The Expressway Ford Minor Peewee A faced a new opponent to the league last Tuesday at the WRC.  The Huskies faced off against the Woolwich Wildcats in front of a home crowd. With Woolwich coming off fresh from the AA loop for the past two years and being new to the league the Huskies knew they were up for a battle. Woolwich came out strong scoring the first goal of the game taking the lead 1-0.

Written by Tim Yantzi The Express Way Ford Minor Peewee A Huskies started the season with their home opener against the Guelph Gryphons earning a 2-1 win. Even though the Huskies dominated most of the game the scoring didn't come until the third period when Riley Benko opened up New Hamburg scoring with a set up from Reese Yantzi. Benko then earned the second goal for the Huskies with an unassisted shot with 4:33 left in the game. Guelph quickly answered back scoring their only goal of the game due to Josh Durrer's solid performance in net for the Huskies.
