The New Hamburg Huskies Bantam AE team wrapped up their season versus a tough team from Guelph with a loss 5-3. The Huskies worked hard and played some of their best hockey all year by staying focused on the game. For the most part, the boys stayed out of the box, and demonstrated greater discipline and respect for the game. The team has had a tough year due to suspensions, illnesses and injuries, but it has been one of life-lessons, friendships and growth.

The Bantam AE Huskies had an exciting week, ending their season with a huge win against Woolwich 3-1 which launched them into their OMHA play downs on the weekend versus the Wild. The Huskies took the energy of the win to play their first of two in a round robin out in Elmira. With an early disputable call leading to a suspension, Spencer Boshart left the game and his presence was surely missed. His brother Blake cheered on Krmpotic from the bench as back-up AP goalie. The Huskies were scoreless after the first period, and Matt Krmpotic was hot in the net making many big saves.

Congratulations to Bantam AE as they secured a great win versus the Woolwich Wild in last night's season-ending league game. The Huskies won 3-1 against the Wild in an end to end nail-biter. Spencer Boshart lit the lamp to start off the scoring with a sneak around dump into the net.

The New Hamburg Bantam AE Huskies are off to Georgina this weekend for their Silver Stick Regional Qualifier running December 11-13th. The team has struggled as of late in regulation play with injuries and tough bounces, but continues to work hard giving their best effort. Every game shows their resilience as a team, and they are committed to improvement. Special mention to Nathan Ward, and Evan Shannon as they have played up in games as AP players for the Huskies. This coming weekend New Hamburg will face big centres such as Barrie, Brampton and Whitby but are ready to give it their all for a shot at International Silver Stick.
