The Midget Husky LL2s had a busy weekend in
Paris trying to secure some end of season hardware in the Syl Apps Tournament.
Friday March 21 saw the Dogs facing off against the Aylmer #2 Flames but things
did not go well for the Pack at first. Down by two goals, they made up for it
in the second, scoring three to take the lead.

Huskies Midget LL2 needed a pair of wins in order to advance to the A-pool
finals and the only things standing in their way were opponents that had their
own agendas. Their brethren Huskies Midget LL1, although mathematically
eliminated from the final round, were poised to play spoiler for the LL2s on
March 5 when the puck dropped at the Wilmot Recreation Complex.

After suffering a 4 – 3 play-down loss in Paris
on February 12, the Midget Husky LL2s were looking for a home ice win on
February 14. The game was their second match in a 6-game round-robin series
that would decide which two teams would move to the finals. Their opponent was
their fraternity brothers, the Husky LL1s but friendship was not playing a part
in the action that night
